FRANK CIANURO’S CRUNKS are works created with closed eyes and left hand as improbable and ironic portraits, originals made with a single stroke on paper. The idea of the collection is to lose all forms of mental coordination and education of the stroke, in search of the pure gesture, the virtuousness of the sign, the unconscious thought not yet educate. The subjects chosen by Frank are made with black aluminium wire shaped by hand on a forex panel. The light makes the work alive and three-dimensional in a play of original and fascinating shadows and arabesques.
